Hi! I’m Katie Jones, interior designer, Momma to two princesses, deep over-thinker, and sporadic writer.
I’m a Kentucky-born, Atlanta-raised (very late) 30’s Auburn Tiger, and am completely infatuated with houses, construction, design, and DIY. I love to make people laugh, am fluent in sarcasm, and writing is my escape. I live and work in Jacksonville, Florida as Director of Operations and Design for a custom home builder because I’m also #FancyAF
Two precious girls, Lila (6) and Lennox (4), are the loves of my life and my reasons for everything… including but not limited to trying to be my best self, and also the amount of Grey Goose I consume.

This site is my third baby, and was born in June of 2016. I originally intended to only write about about design and DIY, but as it turns out, sharing about actual life is more important to me than a DIY about chalk paint – not knockin’ it, just sayin’. Over the years this has evolved into my invaluable form of therapy, and I hope that sharing the lessons I am still learning will someday be a loose guide to life for my girls… ya know, once they’re old enough to read.
One of my favorite things about this blog and sharing on social media are the connections that I’ve made with some pretty awesome humans who remind me that we’re all just normal peeps, doing the best we can to live a meaningful life and have some fun along the way!
